Influenza is at a high level of activity, although declining.
It is still really important to get your flu vaccination if you are at a higher risk of severe illness. Those at higher risk and eligible for free vaccine include:
- people aged 65 and over
- children aged 6 months to under 5 years
- Aboriginal people from 6 months of age
- pregnant women
- those with serious health conditions such as diabetes, cancer, immune disorders, severe asthma, kidney, heart, and lung disease.
Whooping cough (pertussis) and pneumonia continue to be unseasonably high in school age children.
COVID-19 has declined to low activity and RSV is at a moderate level of activity.
